Soap & Glory are one of my favourite beauty brands. I love the glamorous pin-up theme, the pretty pink colour scheme and tongue-in-cheek names and descriptions of the products, and the vast majority of them are beautiful to use!
During my last splurge in Boots, I was lucky enough to get this cute little travel set free! All of the products in the set are under 100ml – so perfect for hand luggage – and it contains miniatures of all my favourite products so I can keep my beauty and bathtime routine going wherever I am!
Here’s what’s in the set:
Clean On Me
Clean On Me is a GORGEOUS creamy shower gel with a built-in body lotion for extra moisturisation. I haven’t been overly keen on some of the other S&G shower gel scents, but this one with the brand’s Original Pink fragrance is lovely. It’s a subtle, floral, feminine scent – some of the fruitier products can be a little overpowering – and you only need a little of the product to create a lovely luxurious creamy lather.
Calm One, Calm All
Calm One, Calm All is my go-to bubble bath! I hate bubble baths where you have to use half the bottle to get any kind of bubbles, but this is certainly not the case with this product. It also, like the shower gel, has a built-in body lotion which is great if you have dry skin like mine; and the fragrance is a gorgeous combination of ‘bergamot, strawberries and mandarin with floral and fruity mid notes, and musk, amber and warm vanilla’ (yum!)
The Righteous Butter
I much prefer the thickness and creaminess of body butters to normal body moisturisers, and The Righteous Butter doesn’t disappoint on this front! This lovely butter contains shea butter to soften and aloe vera to heal and protect your skin, and makes even the driest legs (like mine!) super soft! The Righteous Butter is also scented with the Original Pink fragrance.
Hand Food hydrating hand cream always gets mixed reviews – some people love the scent, and others HATE it! It is a bit of a strange one – it is supposedly Original Pink again, but I think it smells a bit like Play Doh – but if that doesn’t offend you I think it is one of the best hand creams out there! It contains shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow; and again the formula is lovely and thick so doesn’t run off your hands when you apply, and you only need a tiny bit of cream to moisturise you’re hands and wrists.
I used to read ingredients lists and they would mean absolutely nothing to me, but I’ve started to do my research and here are some of the benefits of the ingredients used (DISCLAIMER: I am by no means an expert, but this is what a little investigation has told me..!):
Shea Butter – as well as having moisturising properties, shea butter has been stated to treat a number of skin conditions – such as eczema – and can help reduce blemishes and wrinkles.
Macadamia Oil – helps the skin to maintain moisture, has anti-inflammatory properties and reduces signs of aging.
Aloe Vera – has powerful healing properties (it is often used to treat burns), moisturises the skin and can help to fight signs of aging and treat acne.
I now just need to get a holiday on the cards to take these little lovelies away with me!
