I CANNOT get enough of Afternoon Tea! If you follow me on Instagram (@katiescarlettblog) you’ll frequently see pictures of me with cute little teacups and saucers and a cake stand full of goodies..!
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the British tradition, Afternoon Tea is usually taken in the early afternoon (you’d probably sussed that yourselves!) and involves eating lovely finger sandwiches, cakes, scones and other tasty treats while sipping proper loose leaf lea from a pot in teacups with saucers. It’s perfection!
Today’s jaunt was at Ravenswood Hall Hotel in Suffolk, a cute little hotel with a real vintage vibe – mismatched chairs and teasets, log fires, beamed ceilings, jazz and swing music playing in the background – the whole place had a fantastic cosy vibe.
And the Afternoon Tea itself certainly did not disappoint! There was a mountain of little sandwiches, brownies, scones, chocolate eclairs and much more – considering everything is finger-sized I came away absolutely stuffed!
If you’ve never tried this tradition, I’d highly recommend it, and there’s so many different places you can go! I’d love to hear your favourites!
