Oooh there’s SO MUCH great TV on at the moment! Hibernation season is in full swing, and here are some of my favourite TV shows to snuggle up in front of:
Blue Planet II
David Attenborough is my absolute life idol, so any programme fronted by him is fine by me! I adore nature documentaries, and nobody does them quite like David. I was SO EXCITED when I found out that sequels to Planet Earth and Blue Planet were in the pipeline, and neither have disappointed! Every episode is full of ‘wow’ moments, is shot stunningly and is completely awe-inspiring.
Stranger Things 2
Sam and I polished off the whole second season of Stranger Things in 24 hours; it is totally addictive! The show has the perfect mix of thrills, suspense and laughs, fantastic acting and a brilliant story line. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, you must!!
Travels with my Father
Jack and Michael Whitehall are just brilliant together! Ever since the talkshow Backchat, I have been waiting for another series with this Father-Son duo, and Travels With My Father ticks all the boxes! Jack drags Michael along with him on a belated Gap Year through South East Asia, and Sam and I have had such a giggle binge-ing on this on Netflix!
I have been looking for something to fill the gap in my life left by Pretty Little Liars, and Riverdale does just that! The show follows a group of teenagers in the town of Riverdale, which seems to be cursed with murders and mysteries. Think cute actors and compelling story lines and you’ve got the right idea!
Jane the Virgin
I have only just realised I’ve missed TWO new seasons of Jane The Virgin, so am catching up on the Netflix! This is the perfect easy-watching series – each episode is about 45mins long, so perfect for downloading and watching on the crosstrainer at the gym – and has a great mix of light hearted laughs and drama. I love it!
