I rarely stay awake long enough to watch the Oscars in its entirety, so caught up this morning (still can’t believe THAT mix up!!) I love perusing the gorgeous dresses and hair and makeup designs on show on the red carpet, and here are my Top 5:
Best Actress winner Emma Stone looked simply stunning in this golden flapper-style dress by Givenchy. The vintage look was complemented by loose waves styled into her hair and sultry smokey eyes and dark lipstick.
I am a tad obsessed with Hailee Steinfeld at the moment (I cannot stop singing Starving). The actress, model and singer dazzled at last night’s awards in this romantic floral dress by Ralph & Russo.
Former Miss USA Olivia’s delicate dress is not only gorgeous, but also raising awareness for a great cause. The dress, designed by Marchesa, supports the clean water initiative water.org. In a red carpet interview Culpo explained; “The dress was designed in partnership with Stella Artois and . Stella Artois created chalices and for one chalice sold, five years of clean drinking water is provided for someone in the developing world So this dress is actually made out of the chalice pieces, and it’s encouraging people to get involved in the water crisis and buy the chalice.” Find out more here.
At just 16 years old, the Moana star was a consummate professional during her Oscars performance of How Far I’ll Go – despite being bopped on the head by a prop wave! Cravalho looked beautiful on the red carpet in this white and gold gown by Rubin Singer.
And finally, I challenge anyone to pull off a tux-and-sneakers combo as well as this little guy! 8 year old Sunny definitely wins the Most Adorable award from last night’s red carpet!
Who were your best (and worst!) dressed from the 89th Annual Academy Awards?
