Girly picnic and impromptu Ice Cave Rave!

I was literally saying just yesterday how there’s always something going on in Sheffield! Today I met my friends Becci and Katherine for a picnic in the Peace Gardens (I am loving this Indian Summer business!) This was not just any picnic – this was an M&S picnic – and we stuffed ourselves with halloumi and courgette triangles, falafel balls and yummy meats from the deli (M&S also has a FAB selection of booze-free beverages if anyone else has taken on the Dryathlon – I’d recommend the non-alcoholic apple, mango and passion fruit sparkling juice as a fruity alternative to prosecco!)

Whilst soaking up the sun, we heard talk of a pop-up Ice Cave in Devonshire Green. As this was only about 5 minutes away, we decided to go and investigate! The cave was totally free to get into, and there was no queue whatsoever! So we swiftly donned our fetching silver ponchos and made our way inside. The cave was only tiny, and true to its name was absolutely FREEZING, but the DJ had some great tunes going, there was an ice bar, and all sorts of social media goodness to play with; such as the GIF generator (above), and a machine that prints polaroids straight from Instagram (ah-mazing!)

You can see all of the snaps from our impromptu icy adventure on Instagram!
