Yesterday I took part in the Sheffield Colour Obstacle Rush! These events have been ALL OVER Facebook and happening up and down the country, and we’ve been sooo excited to get involved since we signed up in May!
We woke up yesterday morning ready and raring to go…to discover it was raining (Typical Blighty!) However the damp weather didn’t dampen our spirits, and we made our way to the lovely Rother Valley Country Park for the Rush!
We signed in and collected our goodies – sunglasses, headband, t-shirt and colour packets – and got ourselves ready! It was absolutely freeeezing, but luckily brightened up in time for our wave!
The Rush consists of a 5km run with various obstacles and colour stations. The inflatable obstacles were fab, however some of the obstacles consisted simply of crawling on the floor of a marquee…not entirely convinced this counts!
Nonetheless we all had a fab time, and by the time we reached the colour festival at the end of the course the weather was glorious!
There’s still plenty more Rushes to take place both in the UK and the USA. Head on over to www.colorobstaclerush.com for dates and locations! And if you’ve already taken part I’d love to see your pics and hear your thoughts!
