I’ve only recently discovered the Boots No.7 range…I always tend to stick to the same makeup and skincare products, but on this week’s makeup run I decided to have a little peruse of the No.7 counter. Needless to say, I didn’t leave empty handed!
My first spot was this No.7 High Shine Lip Crayon. I have been a huge fan of lip crayons for a long time, and have been needing a replacement for my Clinique Chubby Stick for a while. Lip crayons are great as they give you a pop of colour without drying out your lips. These little lovelies caught my eye as they are almost half the price of the Clinique alternative (£9 as opposed to £17) and have a great range of colours. Tropical Beach will be great for summer, but for Spring I was torn between Delicate Pink and the nude coloured Daydreamer. I tried both, and they go on so smoothly and make my lips look and feel amazing! I opted for pink, and while I was there decided to grab a new nail varnish. I have been loving darker shades – particularly burgundy and purple – throughout winter and have been looking for a slightly lighter shade for Spring. I went for the Gel-Look Shine Nail Colour in Porcini. This is a great wearable nude/mushroom shade, which in some lights looks to be more grey, and sometimes has a lilac hue. And it’s one of those fab shades that goes with EVERYTHING.Boots also have a fab deal on at the moment where if you buy two No.7 cosmetic products, you get this cute gift set free! Ordinarily I find that free gifts are a bit rubbish and I usually only use one or two of the free products. This one, however, is great! It has a travel-sized lip crayon (conveniently in the Daydreamer shade, so I didn’t have to choose after all!) There is also a mini Instant Illusions Airbrush Away Primer, which feels amazing when you put it on, and really does have a smoothing, airbrush effect on your face. I am going to have to invest in a full-sized one of these! There’s a mini Lovely Lashes mascara in black (the only mascara colour I wear) which will be fab for travelling, especially on hand-luggage-only trips where you’re really limited on the amount of products you can fit in those tiny plastic bags! And finally there was a little Stay Perfect Eyeshadow. The shade is part of the Navy Trio and is another really wearable pale shimmery nude.
All in all, not a bad haul for £16!
Let me know what beauty products you’re loving for the transition into Spring 😊
